520			_aEste libro reúne los relatos de 16 investigadores activistas del Sur Global sobre diferentes temas de derechos humanos en sus respectivos países. Son el resultado del primer taller de investigación-acción que llevó a cabo Dejusticia. El primer taller de investigación-acción se llevó a cabo en el 2013 para fortalecer el activismo en el Sur Global y para perfilar a los investigadores en el método de investigación anfibia que incluye fortalecer las destrezas en la técnica narrativa, así como en aprovechar distintos formatos para contar. Dejusticia quiere contribuir con este proyecto al cambiante escenario de los derechos humanos en el mundo y preparar una nueva generación de activistas fortalecidos en los métodos de investigación y forjados en las nuevas tendencias de los medios y la información.
520			_aThis book, and the Dejusticia initiative that inspired it, seeks to feed such discussions. To that end, it proposes a new type of writing on human rights, one with three specific characteristics. First, the writing is reflective: its authors, who are the very people working in organizations on the ground, stop to think about the potential, achievements, and limits of their knowledge and their practice. In this sense, both this book and Dejusticia’s larger project, described below, seek to amplify the voices of human rights defenders in academic and practical discussions about the future of the field, which, to date, have tended to be dominated by academic studies. In the spirit of the type of action research that I describe in detail in chapter one, this type of writing combines the methodological and analytical strengths of academic research with the practical experience of the authors and the organizations and communities with whom they work. The result is a writing that is as robust as it is relevant, and which contributes to broadening the window of reflection within the human rights field that has been opened with the recent debates mentioned above.
